Houjicha is a Japanese green tea made by roasting underutilized parts of the green tea plant, resulting in a rich, toasty flavor profile and earthy color. Houjicha's heartwarming and soothing properties make it a great alternative to drinks with high caffeine content.
Our tea powders are directly sourced from the largest, family owned, green tea manufacturer in Japan. Located on the Osumi peninsula in Kagoshima, the teas are grown and produced in one of the top two growing regions in Japan. The region hosts an abundance of cultivars, offering first flush and ceremonial grade teas, while providing a truly local and authentic product that honors the tradition of tea.
